Hi Everyone, I am a week old now

Daddy made a little video to share with everyone how much Lochlan's first week has meant to us.

Lochlan is certainly so damn cute and so far, in his first week, has taken our hearts.  Just take a listen, turn your volume up for this one.

Here I come everyone!

As a first post, I thought I would share how our little Lochy entered the world.

We entered Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok at 7am as instructed by Dr. Noppidol on Sunday, December 1.  At 8:30am he induced labor because Bec was low on amniotic fluid and we were concerned about Lochlan's cord being crushed with the lack of room.  About 10:30am the pain kicks in which is needed to know how much of the drug to give for the epideral and quickly the pain disappeared.

When the contractions, which were not felt at all, finally hit 3 or 4 minutes apart and there was some movement felt down there in the nether region, it was game time.

As the doc was in place and the fried chicken warmer was ready to go, he told Bec to give a good push.  She said she had to cough and clear her lungs from the bronchitis which has been with her for a few weeks, and she gave one big lung clearing cough and to everyone's surprise out shot Lochlan.  The video picks up from that moment, everyone in shock and laughing and in a bit of panic.

Bec is laughing so hard that she has another coughing attack and proceeds to let a spray of pee shoot across the room, nailing the doc in the face, covering his glasses, the floor, the walls.  Dr. Noppidol looks over at me and asks me if I have ever heard of a Golden Shower.  He reminded me that being an OBGYN is not a glam job in the least.
